Debt service aid will only be issued for QUESTION ONE (Infrastructure Upgrades) if approved by voters. As a reminder, there is no additional tax impact for QUESTION ONE.
Bond Proposal Question No. 2 will only go into effect if Bond Proposal Question
No. 1 is also approved by the voters at this election.
REMEMBER THE REFERENDUM IS STRUCTURED WITH 2 PROPOSAL QUESTIONS RATHER THAN ONE.
To provide voters with maximum choice, the Board elected to structure two separate questions. Voters are asked to cast a vote on both proposals.
• Bond Proposal Question 1 - Critical infrastructure improvements schools including safety and security upgrades and Media Center S.T.E.A.M. Labs
• Bond Proposal Question 2 – New Field House at James Caldwell High School
Note, currently, there is no “Plan B” if the referendum is not supported by voters. The Board engaged professionals, key staff, administrators, facilities personnel and coaches to develop a two-part referendum proposal. The plan is fiscally prudent and includes infrastructure upgrades and improvements for systems that have surpassed their useful life and exceed the annual maintenance budget. The proposed new athletic center adequately accommodates all outdoor sports and teams, male and female, and includes code compliant public restrooms, storage and a large multi-purpose space for community use. All proposed solutions were developed to address the district’s long term needs.
Congratulations to Mason and Evie for receiving Spot Awards today!
