Please join us for an important Community Connections presentation led by Mr. Max Stossel, the founder of Social Awakening, an organization that empowers students, parents, and schools with information and strategies to protect our children's online safety.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 7:00pm in the JCHS CPA.

In this important discussion, Mr. Stossel will illustrate specific ways technology is designed to be addictive & distracting, highlight how this impacts our students’ minds, and give recommendations on how to address challenges you might be facing around your child’s social media use at home. This presentation will conclude with time to address your questions.

Mr. Stossel has spent the past ten years speaking with over a million students, parents, and educators around the world about social media's impact on our lives, and creating resources to help manage that impact.

Admission is free, but you must register and reserve your seat(s) by emailing Assistant Superintendent, Kaitlin Jones, at kjones@cwcboe.org. All current K-12 Caldwell-West Caldwell families are encouraged to attend; seats will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Community Connections series is designed to engage families in discussions and collaborative learning about current issues our students are facing throughout their development. In the past, we have hosted sessions around inclusive education, strategies to support math skills at home, and conversation starters to build empathy. We look forward to welcoming you to this important presentation.
