School Closing Information
In the event of inclement weather, the decision may be made to close school or delay the opening of school. This decision is made by the Superintendent of Schools in consultation with the Caldwell and West Caldwell Police.
In the event of a school closing or a delayed opening, the school community will be notified via the emergency alert system by email, phone and SMS/Text message. Information will also be posted on the district website and Facebook and Twitter accounts. Please be sure your contact information is up to date in your child's Genesis account. This is the information used for the emergency alert system.
In the case of a Delayed Opening Before-care will not operate.
The Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools do not have an early dismissal program for inclement weather. If a parent/guardian wishes to remove their child early from school, they may do so by going to the main office of the school and signing them out.
