James Caldwell High School incoming sophomore was one of a number of county students honored June 17 by the Essex County Bar Association. 

Varun Ravichandran won the association’s Rights of People with Disabilities Award, which included a certificate and $200, for placing first in the group's annual essay contest in the grade nine through 12 division.
