• Fundamentals of Engineering

    A course designed for all students who aspire to pursue a career in the field of technology. Fundamentals of Engineering allows students to explore the vast opportunities in technology based careers, specifically, Civil, Electronics, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering. Students will experience interdisciplinary education through lectures, laboratory activities, guest speakers, field trips, and multimedia research. Students may choose to participate in related competitions. This course is intended to demonstrate to students the direct application of math, science and technology in “real world” situations. This course also promotes student learning regarding the historical development and social impacts of technology on our man-made world. Additionally, students will develop critical thinking skills through the use of the Technological Problem Solving Model. Most important of all, students will communicate their entire thought processes through project documentation, portfolios, written and oral presentations.
