Mrs. McLaughlin attended North Rockland High School in Rockland County, NY before majoring in Biology at Penn State. Furthering her education, she attended the Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned a Master of Secondary Science Education. She started her career teaching biology at Hermitage High School in Henico, VA before moving up North to New Jersey, adding chemistry and physics certifications before winding up at James Caldwell High School.
