Google Apps for Education

  • The Caldwell/West Caldwell Public Schools utilizes Google Apps for Education for students, teachers, and staff.

The Google Apps for Education (GAFE) communication and collaboration apps include Google Classroom, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sites, and Slides. Additionally, a GAFE account unlocks access to dozens of other collaborative tools supported by Google. All of these applications exists online, meaning that all apps and materials can be accessed from any device with an Internet connection.  These tools are available to each student and hosted by Google as part of the Caldwell/West Caldwell Public Schools online presence in Google Apps for Education.

Using these tools, students collaboratively create, edit and share files and websites for school-related projects and communicate with other students and teachers. These services are entirely online and available 24/7 from any Internet-connected computer.  Examples of student use include showcasing class projects, building an electronic portfolio of school learning experiences, and working in small groups on presentations to share with others.
