• National Junior Honor Society / Welcome GCMS

The Grover Cleveland Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society was established to recognize students who exemplify five core values - scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Membership in NJHS is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a middle school student. GCMS students with a cumulative grade point average of 95% or higher are invited to apply for membership during the spring of their 7th-grade year or fall of their 8th-grade year. The goal of our chapter is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, promote leadership, develop character, and encourage good citizenship in the students of GCMS. All members are expected to:

-- Maintain a minimum cumulative average of 95%.
-- Attend all NJHS meetings (1-2 per month) and school projects/events.
-- Demonstrate leadership, citizenship, and character at GCMS and in the surrounding Caldwell-West Caldwell community.
-- Actively participate in the NJHS Chapter and individual service projects throughout the school year.

NJHS provides GCMS students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills and serve as role models to their middle school peers while learning the importance of giving back to their school and the local community.
