James Caldwell High School competes within the Super Essex Conference which is grouped according the success rate of each athletic program. Both Lacrosse programs are a part of the State Lacrosse Leagues and all teams compete for the Essex County and NJSIAA Tournaments. The school currently serves over 800 students and funds 24 different athletic programs. There are 32 levels for boys and 36 for girls to compete and take part in.
