• Welcome to 6th grade Earth Science! I am looking forward to beginning another exciting year with all of my students at Grover Cleveland Middle School.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Montclair State University where I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Geoscience Education. Recently, I obtained my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Caldwell University. The program allowed me to enrich my teaching methods and style, and enhance my overall knowledge of pedagogy. This is my 7th year at GCMS, and I am grateful to be part of a district that supports teacher's efforts to provide students with an excellent education.

Throughout the year, we will be frequently implementing engineering and problem solving skills. We will cover the topics of: Astronomy, Earth's Changing Surface, Weather and Climate, and Environmental Science. My goal is to present the lessons and content in such a way that provides each child with a hands-on learning experience, and cultivate a strong foundation on which students are able to build more complex scientific ideas and concepts as they continue their education, both in school and as life-long learners.
