     Student Recognition Ceremony

    Who We Are:

    The Advocacy Club is a group of students who celebrate their strengths and recognize their challenges. The club teaches these students how to advocate for their needs amongst their teachers, peers, and employers and to help provide solutions.

     

    What We Do:

    The club participates in activities with elementary school children with challenges and helps them with tips on how to resolve those issues. The club also talks to eighth grade students about the transition process to high school and the importance of advocating for themselves.

     

    Activities We Participate in:          

    - Student to Student Mentoring Program

    -Presentation to Middle School

    -Presentation to JCHS Faculty

    -Dare to Dream Conference at Montclair State University

    -Millburn High School 'Each One Teach One' Conference

    -Student Leadership Conference hosted by JCHS Advocacy Club
