This is my 4th year teaching in the Caldwell-West Caldwell Public School District at Jefferson Elementary School. Before starting my journey in this district, I student taught in an LLD-1 classroom in the Plainfield Public School District for an entire school year and also substitute taught in the Linden Public School District for two years. I graduated from Kean University in 2014 with a degree in Special Education, dually certified to teach pre-school through third grade as well as students with disabilities. I am currently a graduate student at Kean University and studying Special Education: Autism and Developmental Disabilities, on track to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
It has always been my life's dream to become a teacher and I am thankful to be living in that reality! From spending hours in my grandma's basement in my pretend classroom as a little girl to standing in my own classroom today, my journey is surely one for the books! My heart is in this - 100%!
The most recent and exciting news I have to share is that I just returned from a trip to the Philippines where, among many activities, I had the opportunity to teach in some of the classrooms. It was an incredible experience that deposited wonderful life lessons and memories in my heart.
