     Computer Graphics I

                                 This course is structured to provide students with a basic knowledge of the tools used in the computer graphic arts field.  Each student will have the opportunity to create projects  ranging from digital imaging to complex multimedis images.  Assignments will include scanning photographs and artwork, re-touching images, re-sizing and combining text and graphic, and digital paintings.  Using industry standard soft-ware, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator,  we will provide students with a strong foundation in the technical aspects of computer generated art.  This course will begin to prepare students for future entry into the high-tech computer graphic design field.

                                This course will develop students technical skills needed to advance in the visual arts.  Through the use of industry standard computer imaging programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash, students will build upon the skills learned in Computer Graphics Design I.  Topics will include digital imaging, typography, and layout design.  Basic animation, using Flash, will also be introduced.  Students  will also create and develop both their evaluative portfolio and presentation portfolio in computer design.
