How to Raise a Better Reader1. Try to read with your child every day.2. Let your child read what she or he likes, yes, even if it's Captain Underpants.3. Try to be available to help with difficult or unfamiliar words.4. Set a good example: turn off the TV or computer and have a quiet reading time.5. Take your child to visit public libraries as often as possible.6. Have as much reading material as possible available at home: books, magazines, newspapers, comic books, etc.
