• My name is Mrs. Guarino and this is my eighth year working in Caldwell-West Caldwell!   Previously, I taught first grade in West Orange for three and a half years and worked as a special education aide in the same district for two.  I have my Bachelor's of Arts Degree from the University of Delaware and a Master's of Arts in Teaching from Montclair State University.  I am certified in both general and special education, kindergarten through fifth grade.  I recently completed my LDTC post Master's certification and have recently started coursework to obtain my Supervisor certification.  As you can tell, I love to be a student as much as an educator. :)

This is my fourth year serving as an Instructional Coach in district.  The position is multi-faceted, and allows me to work with both students, teachers and administrators.  On any given day I can be modeling techniques in the classroom, strategy planning with teachers, analyzing data or supporting new programs being implemented at the K-5 level.

I grew up in nearby Verona, N.J.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I am an avid reader with an interest in young adult literature.  I love all animals, particularly my dog Sophie.  I have visited several countries, including Spain, Greece, Italy, France and South Africa.
