I look forward to getting to know you throughout the school year! Here is a little bit about me...
I love teaching!!! The students, their families and the staff here make coming to work something I look forward to each and every day! Wilson is truly my home away from home, and you will see that we will become a family in class.
Although this is my 12th year at Wilson, I have been in education for 24 years. I received my Masters Degree in Reading from Montclair State University. I have previously taught 2nd and 5th grade. I also supervised student teachers during their student teaching field experience at Centenary College and Montclair State University.
I have two beautiful daughters. Alyssa is my 19 year old sophmore at Kean University. Brielle is 15, she is a sophmore at Hackettstown High School. I also have two amazing step children. Matthew is 15 and also a sophmore. He plays football for Hackettstown High School. Kaelyn is 13, she is in 7th grade. Baxter is our energetic and friendly dog.
Although teaching and being a mom keep me pretty busy, I have other intersts as well. My husband and I love to go on hikes, we live near many trails! I also love reading. Some of my favorite genres are realistic fiction, biographies and historical fiction. Exercising is another passion of mine. I began doing Yoga a few years ago, and I really enjoy it! We can try some together! I also love music, although my kids do not love it when I sing along to the radio! I love all kinds of music but especially country! Thomas Rhett is my favorite singer right now.
I can not wait to get to know more about each of you this year!
