Getting to Know Mrs. Jobes

This year marks my eleventh that I have been teaching fifth grade in Washington School.  Time sure does fly when you're having fun!
Prior to teaching I was a stay-at-home mom for many years before being employed as an assistant nursery school director. Originally I received my B.A. degree in Communications from Centenary College.
Later, I received my teaching certification from The College of St. Elizabeth, and continue to enjoy learning and growing along the way. I am always amazed at how much I learn from my students!
When not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons ages 27 and 23. I also enjoy  tending to my perennial and vegetable gardens, relaxing on the beach or by the pool, taking long walks with my dog Otis, riding  bikes, and doing anything outdoors. But my real passion is reading, researching, and learning about anything that sparks my curiosity!
