Arts and Sciences Summer Arts Program for Young People

For nearly 50 years, the Summer Arts and Computer Workshop introduces fine and performing arts to children in grades two through nine. Singing, dancing, acting, as well as painting, drawing, ceramics and crafts are offered in a fun-filled, educationally sound atmosphere.

Computer courses teach students a range of computer-based activities, ranging from computer basics to web page design.

Taking place from late June to mid-July, you can find the Summer Arts and Computer Workshop Program within the Caldwell-West Caldwell School District, located in the township of Caldwell/West Caldwell, New Jersey.

Students choose up to five classes of their liking from the list of courses offered and schedules can be accommodated to meet almost every need. Each year, the program has a new theme and participating students put on a show at the end of the program, displaying their projects and talents. Over the last several years, themes have included fairy tales, summer, Broadway, Disney, and most recently, the 1950"s.  Classes are based on a school schedule, starting at 9:00 am and ending at 12:45 pm, with a snack time at 11:10. There are no weekend classes.
