    I started teaching Language Arts and Social Studies at GCMS in 2006. I moved to 8th grade Social Studies in 2011 and have never looked back! I love teaching history!

    I graduated from Drew University in 2001 where I majored in English with a double minor in History and Western Heritage.

    I received my Master of Arts in Teaching from William Paterson University in 2008.

     I believe that experiencing history firsthand
    is the best way to understand past events. We will undertake several simulations this year in hopes of achieving just that!

    I love every topic in 8th grade Social Studies. Highlights for the year include Ancient Egypt, Greek mythology, and Tudor England!

     

     
     Personal Life
    • I grew up in Syracuse, NY. Go ORANGE!
    • My daughter Diana is in 6th grade and is the light of my life. 
    • I enjoy yoga, reading, watching t.v., cooking, listening to music, laughing until I cry, and spending time with my friends and family.
    • My favorite thing about teaching is getting to know my students and watching them grow. And also how funny my students are. I'm not sure you're supposed to laugh at your job as often as I do!
    • My favorite historical figure is Queen Elizabeth I.
    • My favorite superhero is Wonder Woman, Diana Prince.
