• Welcome to 7th grade! I am so excited about starting this new school year with you. My teaching career started nine years ago following my graduation from Montclair State University in 2014, when I actually completed my student teaching here at GCMS and fell in love with the school community. Following my graduation, I served as a year maternity replacement in the very middle school that I went to myself in Wayne, NJ. This then led me to Nutley, NJ, where I taught 7th grade ELA for two years when an opening occured back at GCMS. I did not hesitate for one moment and have been teaching 7th grade here at Grover Cleveland Middle School ever since.

7th grade is my absolute favorite grade to teach as I love the texts we get to explore, particularly The Outsiders. I believe in creating wonder in the classroom and teach with a student-centered approach. Mistakes are inevitable and should not be seen in a negative light but as a way to improve and grow. I am here to support my students in any way I can-- we will never stress in this classroom! Beyond teaching, I am also working on finishing my final year of my Masters Degree in School Counseling.

In my free time, I love to read, binge watch crime shows, play with my dog Crosley, and spend time outdoors. I look forward to this new school year! Please never hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have. My door is always open.
