New Program! 2nd Grade Early Start Violin
The Early Start to Violin program replaces the Suzuki Program, which has been offered in previous years. The Early Start Program offers learning the violin accessible to all second graders by removing the parental involvement requirement.
Key elements of the program include:
- All music and written materials will be provided, all students need to provide is their own violin outfit (violin, bow, shoulder rest, rosin).
- Each student will get one thirty minute group class per week during school hours.
- Each student will have the opportunity to perform in two performances throughout the year.
- A great introduction to the violin, focusing on technique and fun.
Classes can expect to begin the week of 9/20/2021
The first performance opportunity for beginning strings students will be the Beginner String Recital. This is a solo performance opportunity where each student will have the chance to perform by themselves in front of other beginning strings students and parents (not a school-wide assembly).
