About Principal Vetrano
Mrs. Vetrano began her career as an educator in 2008. This is her 14th year in education and she is beginning her second year as Wilson School Principal. In Mrs. Vetrano’s previous role as the Supervisor of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment for the Hillsdale Public School District, she oversaw and supported a K-8 district, and she successfully implemented a five-year curriculum cycle that was aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and supported the integration and responsible use of 21st-century instructional technology and practices. Prior to her Supervisor role, Mrs. Vetrano was the Regional Curriculum and Instructional Coordinator for the Pascack Valley Regional High School District where she supervised four K-8 school districts to align curriculum and professional learning to ensure a common skill set for a shared high school experience. Prior to this administration experience, Mrs. Vetrano was a teacher for this community in the Caldwell-West Caldwell School District for seven years. During this time, she taught both third and fourth grade. Mrs. Vetrano couldn't be more pleased to bring her leadership and administrative experience to the principalship at Wilson School.
Mrs. Vetrano earned a bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Studies (Early and Middle Childhood Education K-5) from Montclair State University. She also was a member of the Montclair State Women’s Soccer team. Go Red Hawks! After graduation, Mrs. Vetrano earned a master's degree in Counseling (School Counseling K-12) and a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership with supervisor, principal, and chief school administrator certifications. Mrs. Vetrano is also a Google Level I Certified Educator and a member of various State and National Educational Organizations like NJPSA, ASCD, NCTE, NCTM, AMTNJ, and Learning Forward.
Mrs. Vetrano is married to her husband, Mr. Anthony Vetrano. Outside of Wilson School, Mrs. Vetrano enjoys reading, running, hiking, playing sports, rooting for the Yankees, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends.
