TGIF and Welcome to Feel Good Friday!

Today, we want to encourage our students and their families to participate in a kindness activity. During this difficult time, it is crucial that we treat ourselves with kindness and compassion, as well as others around us. Simple acts of kindness from others and to ourselves not only feels good, but it also reminds us of the power of kindness and feeds our sense of well-being. It makes us feel special and important, and that we're entitled to the good things in life. Additionally, teaching our children how to be kind and perform acts of kindness helps them to learn empathy, feel a strong sense of belonging and improves their self-esteem!

For this week, we have provided a few different kindness activities so you can choose the one that you like best.

The first activity is a Kindness Challenge. There are two different types; one simply has three pages full of ideas you can participate in, while the other allows you to create your own kindness challenges. See how many acts of kindness you can do! We’d love to hear how many you complete, so please share stories and photos with us!

The second activity is a Kindness Bingo board. Work on filling in boxes to get five spots and do something you enjoy as a reward! Both of these activities could be fun to play as a family or make into a weekly challenge.
