Welcome to our last Mindful Monday!

With the end of the school year quickly approaching, we thought it would be helpful to give students an opportunity to reflect on their favorite memories of this school year.

We have included a selection of activities that we think your children might enjoy. The first two are simple reflection activities with questions and conversation starters, while the third is a worksheet they can color. We have also included a read aloud, “Last Day Blues” by Julie Danneburg. This tells the story of a class's last few days of school and is a fun way to think about the start of summer. Finally, memory wheels are a hands-on craft students can work on to bring their favorite 2019-2020 memories to life.

This time can feel bittersweet for us all, especially given current circumstances; it is the end of your child’s current grade and the start of another new experience. There are things they will miss and things they are looking forward to, not only about the summer, but also about their next school adventures that await.

By sharing these activities, we hope your child is able to find closure and prepare them for their last few days of school. As always, please feel free to reach out to your school counselor with any questions, concerns, or if your child just wants to talk! We are here for all of you.

    Happy Sun
