This activity focuses on using our five senses to remember a favorite memory or describe a safe place.
Peace in the Palm of Your Hand Activity
Supplies: Blank Paper, Colored Markers/Pencils, Your imagination!
Step 1: Think about a favorite or happy memory you have. This could also be a safe place or a favorite spot.
Step 2: Trace your hand on the blank paper with the paper held longways or hot dog style.
Step 3: Draw a picture of the place or memory you chose inside the palm of your hand. Make it as detailed as possible!
Step 4: Label each of the five fingers for one of the five senses: see, smell, taste, hear, touch. Remember what you saw, smelt, tasted, felt, and heard in this memory or at this safe place. Write or draw them into the fingertips.
Step 5: Color however you want!
Step 6: Use whenever you want to feel calm and peaceful!
