Good morning from Mrs. Yoskowitz, your school counselor! I hope all of you are well.

The elementary school counselors are hoping to continue some of your child’s social-emotional learning remotely through providing you with various activities you can engage in at home.

We know this is an adjustment period for families, especially with having academic and leisure time both spent at home. Thus, we thought it might be helpful for you to create a separate space in your home for relaxation.

    • Create a Relaxation Station: Try creating a Relaxation Station with your children. This would be a separate space different from where they engage in academic activity. Try to have this be a screen-free zone if possible.

      • Coloring/drawing materials, books, meditation exercises, puzzles, games, craft supplies, soft blankets or toys, pictures of happy memories, family or friends, music, stress ball, putty, bubbles, etc.

      • Participate in these activities with your children whenever possible!

Please feel free to send me photos or feedback to JYoskowitz@cwcboe.org in regards to this exercise and let me know how it goes! I would love to hear from you!

    Sending good thoughts your way,

    Julia Yoskowitz

    Wilson School Counselor
