Degrees and Certifications:
I entered the teaching profession in 2013 and after spending six years with another district joined James Caldwell High School for the start of the 2019 school year. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University and a Doctorate degree in Organic Chemistry from Seton Hall University. Prior to teaching chemistry, I spent over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry where I worked as a research medicinal/synthetic organic chemist. The focus of my research in the pharmaceutical industry was in the areas of metabolic diseases (cardiovascular and diabetes) and anti-viral (Hepatitis B and C). Within these areas of research I am the author/co-author of six patents and numerous scientific publications.
On a more personal note, I am a motorcycle and car enthusiast. I have had the pleasure to travel across this great country on two wheels visiting many national parks and historic sites along the way. I am also the President of the North Jersey Corvette Club where we are involved in many charitable organizations including Camp Hope, Children's Specialized Hospital and Wounded Warriors.
