EPIC BUBBLES - Period 1 Weeks 1 & 2
Did you ever wonder if you could make a square bubble, make a bubble bounce, or create a bubble within a bubble? Can you predict which bubble gum makes the biggest bubbles? If you think bubbles are cool, come and join our Epic Bubble fun!
WORLD OF THE TROPICAL RAINFOREST - Period 2 Week 1
Did you know that tropical rain forests contain about half of the existing plant and animal species in the world? Isn’t it fascinating that rain forests produce approximately 20% of the world’s oxygen? Come join us in exploring and creating a tropical rainforest habitat.
OCEAN ADVENTURES - Period 2 Week 2
There are 328,000,000 cubic miles of seawater on earth, covering approximately 71 percent of earth's surface. By volume, the ocean makes up 99 percent of the planet's living space- the largest space in our universe known to be inhabited by living organisms. Let's explore the creatures and environments that live under the sea!
TRASH TO TREASURES - Period 3 Week 1
Use your recycled items to build a robot. Find things around the house and neighborhood to reuse in a new way. We’re going GREEN in Trash to Treasure this summer!
SUPER SCIENTIST - Period 3 Week 2
Join us by being a SUPER Scientist. Try a variety of SUPER experiments. Do you know how to build a tower of liquids or make an explosion of colors? Become a SUPER Scientist this summer!
BACKYARD BIOLOGY - Period 1 Week 1
Do you ever look around your backyard, school ground or local parks to examine some of the natural wonders that live there? In this class, we will use microscopy to explore the unseen world living in the surrounding ponds and soil, go bird watching and make birdfeeders, take a nature scavenger hunt and more. We will create projects that attract wildlife to our doorsteps and suitable for growing plants and animals. In addition, we will make projects to encourage recycling and renewal in our communities.
ART IN NATURE - Period 1 Week 2
Let's go for a nature walk! Through fun crafts and nature explorations, kids will be able to experience the connection between art and nature. We will gather materials found outdoors to create art projects and work together on collaborative creations. We will be able to re-purpose things found outside, in our recycling, and anywhere else we can find them to make great crafts and more!
GROSSOLOGY - Period 2 Weeks 1 & 2
Did you ever wonder how and why the human body and animals make a variety of really “gross” substances? Are you curious about boogers? Interested in brains? Want to know more about bumps and bruises? If you are, this course will let you touch, taste, see, or smell the grossness that exists all around you.
CANDY CREATIONS - Period 3 Weeks 1
Using simply sweet ingredients, we will make tasty, creative and sometimes beautiful candy art that will be good enough to eat!
KITCHEN CHEMISTRY - Period 3 Week 2
Do you know how many things can be made using ordinary kitchen items? Some can be edible, some to play with. Be a kitchen chemist and cook up some new creations of your own.
CRIME SCENE DETECTIVE Period 3 Weeks 1 & 2
Do you love a good mystery? Do you like to solve puzzles and perform experiments? When a person comes into contact with anything, something is always left behind. In this class, you will use the same methods used by detectives to solve crimes.
