Students in Caldwell - West Caldwell Public Schools will take the following standardized tests in 2017-18:


    The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is a group of states working together to develop a set of assessments that measure whether students are on track to be successful in college and careers.  It is the main standardized test of record for New Jersey public school students.  All students in grades 3 - 8 take PARCC assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics.  At the high school level, PARCC is administered according to the particular courses.  For more information about PARCC, please click to visit the district's PARCC information page.


    The NJASK Science test is taken by students in grades 4 and 8 in the spring.  Detailed information is distributed to parents in the weeks prior to the testing.

    SAGES 2:

    SAGES 2 is the Screening Assessment for Gifted Elementary and Middle School students.  It is used to identify student eligibility for the Gifted Achievement Program, and is offered to students according to parent request.  For more information, please contact your school principal.


    PSAT, SAT, and ACT are offered to high school students at various points in the school year.  Information is provided on the JCHS Guidance web site and on the school calendar.  For more information, please contact the JCHS Guidance Office.


    The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is the test of record for students interested in joining the military.  The test is coordinated by the JCHS Guidance office.  For more information, please contact the JCHS Guidance Office.
