Each month faculty members at GCMS nominate and vote for students who they feel meet the qualifications to be honored as STUDENTS OF THE MONTH. Qualifications are: 1) Achieves Academic Success 2) Exhibits appropriate behavior 3) Possesses a positive, friendly attitude 4) Genuine in that they are understanding, honest, and caring 5) Creative Thinker.

For the month of May, GCMS will once again collect food donations for the Caldwell Food Pantry. This time of year, donations are appreciated as there are no special holidays or events to spur collections. Donations should be brought to the school. Thank you.
Let the summer begin! Rocketry, web design, ceramics, theater, chemistry and more! Registration is now open for the 2013 Summer Arts and Sciences Programs! This year, both programs will be held at James Caldwell High School. The Summer Arts Workshop runs from Monday, July 1, through Wednesday, July 24, from 9:00 AM until 12:45 PM. The Summer Science Explorations run from Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Students need not be from the Caldwell-West Caldwell area to enroll. While 8th grade promotion is a memorable experience in a student’s life, it is not one that should be achieved without meeting high standards. The Grover Cleveland Middle School promotion ceremony celebrates the success of students who have worked hard and fulfilled certain expectations in their studies and in their preparation for high school.
The school year is half way through and our 8th grade students will soon be entering high school. Parents can find important information for high school transition and scheduling here.
