CALDWELL-WEST CALDWELL PUBLIC SCHOOLS PODCASTS The Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools are pleased to announce the launch of a new technology initiative: The Podcast.
Many teachers are now using digital audio records called "Podcasts" as part of their program to help communicate, instruct, or inform.
Some current examples include: Mr. Keena's Wilson School Holiday Message Mr. Adams' Washington School Poem Mr. Chamberlain's Music Podcast Mr. Lienhard's Music Theory Students "Lienhardcats" Ms. Valentine's Washington Student Podcasts Ms. Doto's Washington School Book reviews Mrs. Kellenberger's Washington School 4th Grader Book Reviews Jefferson School LLD II Podcast Middle School Guidance Podcast Ms. Simko's Elementary Music Podcast Mr. Marrone's Biology Vodcasts
Using Really Simple Solution (RSS) Technology, quarterly the district will send out a brief radio-show style format of news and happenings in the district. You can obtain the podcast in one of four ways: 1. In the Itunes music program (www.itunes.com) under "Podcasts", click on the "Advanced" tab, then click subscribe to our podscast. The XML feed is http://www.cwcboe.org/podcast1.xml Copy and paste the link into the box that pops up. Itunes is a free program download. You do not need an Ipod (or even a Mac computer) to use it. 2. In Itunes, search for "Caldwell" in the Music Store 3. Go to www.cwcboe.org/podcasts and click on the link to listen manually. 4. Go to www.google.com/ig and set up an "i-Google" page. Get Google Reader as a program and subscribe the podcast feed there.
