Kaethe Zemach

On April 26, 2006 Lincoln School hosted author/illustrator Kaethe Zemach for an all day visit.  Each session focused on one of her books, The Character in the Book, and the process of writing, illustrating, and publishing.  Students had the opportunity to pre-order books that Ms. Zemach autographed the day of her visit.

Ms. Zemach is the oldest daughter of the much loved picture book team, Harve and Margot Zemach, who won the Caldecott Medal for Duffy and the Devil.  Kaethe wrote her first book when she was twelve, and illustrated her first book as a teenager.  Ms. Zemach lives in Bucks County Pennsylvania.
