Dear Parents, Summer vacation has begun and it is time to sit back and relax with some good books. It is my hope that the list attached list will help guide you. The books listed are from a collaborative effort of the Elementary Library-Media Specialists in the district and the town librarians. Please remember that this is only a suggested list and that reading above or below grade level is appropriate since students’ reading abilities do vary. You or the librarians can always assist your child in making appropriate selections. Since summer reading is important for your child’s educational growth, encouraging any and all reading is important. Have a safe and wonderful summer, and I look forward to seeing you in September!
