Class Photos
Our recently installed birdfeeder is a popular attraction for our neighborhood birds. We enjoy seeing the birds at our feeder and identifying them. The birdfeeder is right outside in front of our classroom window. It was purchased with grant funds from the Caldwell/West Caldwell Education Association and Montclair State University.
Birdseed and suet cake donations are welcome! Our birds are hungry!
Water Experiment Day
By Mrs. Macken's Class
David from the Environmental Center came to teach us about water. First we played the globe game to learn about how much water there is on earth. Next he read The Small Small Pond. Then we saw how many drops of water we could put on a penny. After that we saw how many pennies we could fit in a full glass of water. Last we tried to float paper clips on water. We learned a blot about water. We hope David comes again because we had fun.
Check out our pictures from David's visit below.
Election Day
Pumpkin Farm Field Trip
Learning about Japan
Miss Vecchione came to our class before her trip to Japan to teach us about that country. We found it on our maps and Miss Vecchione wrote down questions we had about Japan. She also read a book comparing life in Japan and the United States. You can read about Japan and Miss Vecchione's trip visiting her website:
