Education.

in the H.S.A., please contact any H.S.A. Member. A co-chair for the

New Business
·
A new e-mail policy will be set to cut down on
the number of e-mails and to ensure those not on the e-mail distribution
list will get all of the information. We will also be putting together a
calendar for H.S.A. events next year. All information for the calendar must
be submitted at the H.S.A. meeting the month prior.
-
Ms. Rebecca Vecchione who teaches resource
room, in-class support and basic skills, will be going to Japan for
three weeks this fall. Ms. Vecchione was selected from a large pool of
applicants. Only fifty teachers from the U.S. are chosen.
-
Robyn Stevens made a motion for the H.S.A.
to purchase a gift for Ms. Vecchione in recognition of her achievement
and for her to use on her trip to Japan. The motion was seconded and
approved to purchase a gift not to exceed $150.
-
In-Style Salon has generously offered to
host a fundraiser for us on June 1st. Lincoln School will
receive 100% of profit from hair cuts and manicures and 50% of all other
services. Please call to make an appointment. An e-mail notice will be
sent out.
·
E-mail distribution process: So as not to
burden Mrs. Kerrigan with H.S.A.-related notices, all e-mails should be
first sent to Christine Corliss who will obtain Mr. Williams’ approval prior
to school-wide distribution. We are striving to get all Lincoln school
families on the e-mail distribution list. The need for a monthly H.S.A.
newsletter was discussed.
Committee Reports
-
Beefsteak/Tricky Tray: Lincoln school
families are being asked to make a cash donation of $35 - $50, rather
than donate baskets. The money will be used by volunteers to shop for
and assemble Tricky Tray baskets. Off-sight 50/50 tickets are being
printed and will be available for purchase soon. All necessary permits
have been obtained.
-
Welcoming: A reminder that the current
Kindergarten class bakes for the upcoming orientation. This is a good
opportunity to get the new parents involved for next year. Sign-up
sheets are needed for next year’s events and committees.
