Math

Fact family timed tests are used to help children master the addition and subtraction facts through 18.  Children take timed tests twice a week on Monday and Thursday beginning in December.  Tests consist of 20 math problems that include a review of old facts.  First graders are given 1 minute and 30 seconds to complete the test.  The children need to pass 1 test with a score of 19 or 20 to move to the next number.  Copies of the tests are available for you to down load and use to practice at home by visiting:

Marvelous Manners

We have been working on our manners in school.  Please remind your child to use the magic words:

"Please", "Thank you", "Excuse me", "Good Morning", and "I'm sorry".

Trick words
