School Facts

Jefferson Elementary School serves Grades K-5 and is dedicated to being a true "Community of Learners." Students participate in activities aligned with the State Core Curriculum and District Curricula. Teachers provide a wide range of experiences to assist students in becoming versatile and confident individuals. Teachers and parents work together to instill a sense of community.

 

Students partake in a wide variety of exciting activities during the year.  Students who are involved in orchestra, band, and chorus present exceptional performances year after year. Field Day and School Spirit Days add a feeling of unity to the student body.

 

The HSA sponsors and supports many beneficial activities. Students participate in the Knollwood Juniors, geography bee, a talent show, Fun-at-Lunch, Family Picnic, Family Fun Nights, and many others. Thomas Jefferson's Birthday Celebration is always a tremendous success as well as a learning activity for students, staff, and parents. Cultural arts and other programs are always an exciting part of our learning culture.

 

The local police and the AAA sponsor an auto/crosswalk safety program.
