Reading

This learning center is where children can enjoy reading a book or listening to a story.  We have a variety of different books on multiple levels in our classroom to accommodate each student and their interests. 

Listening

Here the students are able to have their own private area for listening.  The students may choose to listening to a story on tape or listening to music.

Writing

At the writing center, the students can write their own story.  They are able to express themselves in the writing center without any boundaries or expectations. 

Computer

The students love the computer center!  They are able to explore, research and look at their favorite educationalwebsites!

Puzzles and Games

During this center, students complete puzzles and socialize with their friends by playing games.  We practice turn taking and social skills here.

Art

The students are able to freely express themselves through art during this time.  They use markers, crayons, or colored pencils. The students may draw on the board, paper or the whiteboard.

Spelling

During spelling center, the students are able to practice their spelling words for the week!

Math

The students work on practicing the skill that they are working on during math center. 

Phonics

The students complete a phonics practice sheet for phonics centers.
