Dear JCHS Parents:
In May, a letter was
emailed to parents that explained the Caldwell-West Caldwell School
district’s new contract with The Calling Post emergency notification
system. The Calling Post is
a computerized telephone calling system. In the event of an emergency, the
system will be activated by a district administrator and a phone message will be
sent to the two emergency phone numbers you have submitted to the school on your
family’s yellow emergency contact information card. The system will only
be activated during emergency and/or crisis situations. As of today, 100%
participation has not been achieved. Since we strongly believe that this
system will allow us to contact parents quickly and efficiently, we are offering
another opportunity for parents to supply contact information.
Most of you filled
out and returned emergency cards that we keep on file at James Caldwell High
School. The cards contain home and work
telephone numbers for us to use in case of an emergency. We will use the
contact information on those cards for those families who did not originally
“sign-up” for the Calling Post in May. Mrs. Rischitelli is the
receptionist who maintains our email and telephone database. If you prefer that we use another phone number that is
NOT listed on the emergency card, please send an email to her email address,
which is Mrischitelli@cwcboe.org
.
It is our intent to
download all of our telephone number data at the close of school on Tuesday,
October 16, 2007. If you have already submitted your phone number(s)
through our website last spring, you do not need to resubmit them. Please
note that it is your responsibility to notify the school if your phone number
changes and needs to be updated
Sincerely,
Kevin M. Barnes,
Ed.D.
