Dear JCHS Parents:

         

          First, the really good news…James Caldwell High School Second Marking Period Report Cards were mailed to your homes on Thursday, January 31, 2008.  If you haven’t yet received your child’s, you should receive it very, very soon. 

I also write to advise you that James Caldwell High School students who would like to be considered for 2008-2009 Advanced Placement and/or Honor courses have signed up for the assessment in their academic classes on January 14 and 15, 2008.

Please note that students cannot take Honors or Advanced Placement classes without having participated in the assessment process.  Students may not “walk-in” on the day of an assessment.  They must sign up for the assessment, in advance, in order to take it.  If you believe your child is a candidate for an Honors or AP class next year, please remind them to TO SEE THEIR GUIDANCE COUNSELOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

 

The Advanced Placement Assessments will be administered AFTER SCHOOL, per the following schedule:

 

Monday, February 11                         AP   CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICS

Tuesday, February 12                         AP & HONORS ENGLISH

Wednesday, February 13                    AP & HONORS  MATHEMATICS

Thursday, February 14                       AP   SOCIAL STUDIES

Friday, February 15                            AP   BIOLOGY
