General databases such as Ebsco, Wilson Web, Sirs which serve as indexes:

Last name, first name.  “title of article.” Title of periodical, date of publication:page #.

            Name of general database. Name of Specific database within general database.

            Date of access  <url of database(not article)>.

Caldwell, James.  “Growing Up in Suburbia.”  Newsweek,  9 Jun 2001: 56.  Ebscohost.

            Masterfile Premier.  8 Feb 2005 < http://search.epnet.com>.

Specialized Databases such as Facts on File and ABC-Clio

“Title of Article.” Name of Publisher(database). Copyright date.  General name of

database. Name of specific database used within general database. Date of

access <url of database>.

Examples:

“Indonesia.”  Facts on File, Inc.  2005.  Facts on File, Inc.  World Atlas. 8 Feb 2005

            <http://www.factsonfile.com>. 

“Thailand.”  ABC-Clio. 2005.  ABC-Clio.  World Geography. 9 Feb 2005

Opposing Viewpoints

Last name of author, first name.  “title of article or chapter.” Title of Book. Editor of

Book.  Place of publication: publisher, date. Name of database. Publisher of

Database. Date of access  <URL of database>.
