The “LETTER” Collage

What better way to meet your new classmates and teacher than to brag about yourself!  Add some art supplies, pictures, words, and creativity…and you have the coolest back to school activity around!

1.      Take a 12’ x 18’ piece of construction paper (your favorite color, if you like). 

2.    In pencil, trace a block letter of your first name initial (make it as big & thick as possible).

3.    Find items to glue to your humongous letter.

4.    Create a collage with your items.  What works best are pictures (photos, internet, magazines, computer)…hand drawn items/words are not as eye-catching (unless you’re really artistic).

5.    Be sure to have your name visible on your collage.

6.    Have fun with this…and be prepared to share it with the rest of the class on Friday!
