Dear Parents:
Since we exhausted all emergency days in October and November, and since the April vacation this year is the only full week off from school between January and June, I recommended to the Board of Education that we add January 21, 2013 and February 19, 2013 as school days. This recommendation was approved by the Board at the Regular Public Monthly Meeting of December 10.
Therefore, February 19, 2013 will be a normal, full day of school. In addition, January 21, 2013 will be an Early Dismissal Day at all schools, and we will follow the normal Early Dismissal schedule:
Ø AM/PM Kindergartens:............................................. 8:45 AM – 11:30 AM
Ø Elementary Schools:.................................................. 8:45 AM – 1:00 PM
Ø Preschool Morning Session:....................................... 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Ø Preschool Disabilities:

§ PM Session:......................................................... 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
§ Full Day Session:................................................. 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Ø Grover Cleveland Middle School:............................. 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Ø James Caldwell High School:.................................... 8:15 AM – 12:45 PM
If we are fortunate that no further emergency days are required, schools will be closed on Friday, May 24, 2013. If more than two emergency days are required, additional days will be taken from the April vacation, beginning with Wednesday, April 10, 2013.
