Budget Review Process
The Caldwell-West Caldwell School District prepares an annual budget for consideration and review each March. The budget is presented at a Public Hearing between March and May.
All interested residents are encouraged to attend this meeting to ask questions pertaining to the budget. Following the input, the Board of Education votes to approve the budget, submitting it to the New Jersey Department of Education.
The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education no longer holds the April School Board and Budget Election, unless it needs to exceed the budget cap as directed the State of New Jersey. Candidates seeking a seat on the Board of Education are elected in the General Election in November.
