At the April 13 Board of Education (BOE) Meeting, the BOE voted to modify the current school year calendar, revise the 2015-2016 school calendar, and adopt a 2016-2017 school calendar. In accordance with communications sent out earlier this year, the current school year calendar has been modified to extend the Memorial Day weekend to use the available emergency days. Once again, the Caldwell Merchant’s Association “Art on the Avenue” will hold a Student Art Contest -Sponsored by The Women’s Club of Caldwell. This year's theme is “Shop Downtown” The event is Saturday May 30, 2015 (Rain date: Sunday May 31). For complete rules and details,click the headline.
The state has asked that each school district submit a self-assessment of its implementation of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. The self-assessment was viewed as an opportunity to reinforce and strengthen the district’s HIB prevention and intervention programs, policies and practices. The state also used the self-assessment process to assign a “grade” to each district and individual school. The maximum total score for a school is 75 points. On August 23, 2011, the CWC School District adopted a revised Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying policy.
