Kindergarten Photos

The first several lessons focused on color.  We started off with primary colors and learned that we can make other colors when we mix them together.  We tried mixing both paint and tissue paper.  Then we learned the colors of the rainbow....in order!

What's on the other side???

We learned about all kinds of shapes including squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles.  When one shape goes on top of another it is called overlapping.

We took a pretend trip into Claude Monet's Garden, Giverny.  The students viewed several photographs from my visit to Giverny as well as several paintings that Monet created.  While there, students explored the artistic style of Impressionism.  We created the objects in the garden such as the Japanese Bridge, the water lilies, the pink house, the bridge, and much more.
