Grover Cleveland Sixth Grade Band

The Grover Cleveland Sixth Grade Band meets twice a week for rehearsal. Unlike band in elementary school (which does not receive an individual grade), Sixth Grade Band is a graded subject which needs to be treated like any other class at Grover Cleveland Middle School. Grades are based on effort, participation, preparation, and attendance in music class and performances (when the student is in school).
Performances are in December, March, and in the late Spring. The band also performs at an adjudicated festival toward the end of the school year. The Grover Cleveland Sixth Grade Band has always been awarded an "excellent" or "superior" rating. After performing at the festival, the students enjoy the remainder of the day at Six Flags Amusement Park.
