Memorable Happenings
Every story has certain scenes, characters, and events that are important to the story and memorable to the reader.
You will work on selecting five of those scenes, characters, and events, and create an accordion book to present them in.
Directions for making accordion book:
1. Cut six pieces of tag board, white cardboard, or another stiff paper, the same size and shape. You may choose any size or shape that can contain writing, illustrations, and can be connected at the side edges.
2. Tape the six pieces of tag board together at the sides. (Put tape on the front and back.)
3. Design a cover for your book. It must include the following:
- Title of the book
- Author of the book
- Your name
- A scene from your book that stands out in your mind
4. The following 5 pages will contain the following in any order:
- Who is the story about? (1 page)
- What happens in the story? (1 page)
- When and where did the story take place? (1 page)
- What was your favorite part, and why? (1 page)
- What would you have changed about the story, and why? (1 page)
