Form for an MLA Bibliography: This is the handout sheet for students at GCMS showing how to do a bibliography.

NoodleTools:  This site will help you create your bibliography for a paper.  Students will be prompted to log in to their school/library account when they click "Create new folder" on the login screen.  Each student will create his/her own personal ID. Once the personal ID has been created, the student will simply log in on the main login screen using this selected personal ID and password (they will not be asked to log in to the school/library subscription again).

MLA Bibliographic Style--A Brief Guide: This site from the Springfield Township High School Virtual Library is very helpful.

Answers.com: An online encyclopedia, thesaurus, dictionary definitions and more.

Ask an Expert: This site lists experts in science, the arts, health, careers, etc, who have volunteered to answer questions.

AOL@School: Find resources by subjects for students in all grade levels.

BCCLS: This is the Bergen County Cooperative Library System site.  You can search for library materials in 73 public libraries in New Jersey’s Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Passaic counties.

The Biography Maker: This site guides you step-by-step to creating a great biography report.

Britannica.com: Search the Britannica Encyclopedia online.

CNN Student News: Find all the latest headline news at this site from CNN.

DiscoverySchool.com for Students: This site has tools to help you study, games to challenge your mind, and tons of great clip art to use. In addition, there are nearly a dozen learning adventures that let you explore everything from Ancient Egypt to the Space Station.

Fact Monster: A site that includes an atlas, almanac, dictionary, and encyclopedia, as well as, links by subjects.  The homework center is useful.  A fun site!

Big Dog’s Grammar: A bare bones guide to English offers 15 different mini-tutorials on English grammar for grades 3-12.  There is an MLA quick guide for citations.

Guide to Grammar & Writing: This site is the ultimate guide to grammar and technical aspects of writing.  Find just about any grammar topic you can think of.

Guys Read:  This web-based initiative begun by author Jon Scieszka, with the intent to motivate boys to read, is a great resource for teachers, parents, and students, in search of “boy-friendly” titles. The site contains features such as “find a book” by favorite author, favorite title, or subject search; list of suggested books categorized by “young,” “middle,” or “older guys; and a list of links to official author and illustrator sites.

The C.I.A. World Factbook 2000: "This is the online version of the World Factbook, which includes information on every country in the world - from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. Each individual country has a separate page with information about the geography, people, government, and more. This site also has a map collection."
