We asked our sixth grade students for some tips they could give to incoming sixth graders on how to have a successful year. Here is what they had to say:
Always do your homework.
Always be prepared for class.
Always have your "Handy Dandy Multiplication Chart."
Be a good sport.
Always be prepared so you can get a star.
Do not chew gum in school.
Don't be inappropriate in class.
If someone makes you uncomfortable, tell a teacher.
Do not steal.
Always bring a pencil to class.
Do all of your homework to earn stars.
Make a bunch of friends!
Always bring a water bottle to class.
Know your multiplication facts.
Pay attention! You will need it for the end of the year.
Don't tell anyone your locker combo.
Don't let anyone steal your homework.
Be prepared, or else detention!
Never be late.
Follow the rules.
Keep your stuff organized.
Get your projects in on time.
Do not treat your planner badly.
Do not leave food in your locker.
Don't spread rumors.
Do not get suspended.
